​8Y, Anti Haemophilic Factor VIII

Bio Products Laboratory’s 8Y is a concentrate of Factor VIII and Von Willebrand Factor (VWF) prepared from blood plasma from screened donors and then heat-treated. 8Y is given by injection into a vein (intravenously) and is used to prevent and treat bleeding in patients with hemophilia A or Von Willebrand disease (VWD). Deficiency of Factor VIII causes Hemophilia.

Replenine, Anti Haemophilic Factor IX

Replenine VF, Factor IX is manufactured by Bio Products Laboratory, UK. Deficiency of Factor IX causes Hemophilia B. The genetic defect is sex-linked and approximately 1 in 50,000 is affected. If untreated, patients with severe deficiencies may have frequent spontaneous bleeding into joints and muscles; they bleed excessively during minor surgery and may suffer life-threatening bleeding from trauma or even relatively minor injury.

Octaplex, Human Prothrombin Complex Concentrate

Octaplex is used in treatment of Emergent reversal of warfarin therapy or vitamin K deficiency in patients: Exhibiting serious or life-threatening bleeding manifestations or requiring UNPLANNED/URGENT (<6 hours) interventions with risk of bleeding.
